Critical Infrastructure Research Repository (CIRR)

The Mission

CIRR strengthens the security and resilience of critical infrastructure by connecting stakeholders with trusted research, cybersecurity knowledge, and collaborative tools that support informed action and innovation.

About

The Critical Infrastructure Research Repository (CIRR) is a proposed national platform designed to improve the accessibility, coordination, and operational use of federally, state, and privately funded research related to energy systems, cybersecurity, and critical infrastructure resilience.

Supported through a collaborative initiative involving industry, academia, and public-sector stakeholders, CIRR seeks to address a longstanding challenge within the critical infrastructure sector: the fragmentation of research findings, technical studies, software tools, and operational knowledge across multiple agencies, laboratories, universities, and private organizations.

As the Nation modernizes its energy infrastructure and confronts increasingly sophisticated cyber and supply chain threats, infrastructure owners, manufacturers, utilities, and government agencies require faster access to trusted, actionable research and security insights.
